Campaigning body Liberty has called for an inquiry into employers who used a blacklisting service to screen out ‘trouble-makers’ to be reopened and has threatened legal action against the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if it fails to do so.
Creative Industries Welcome Hooper Report
The creative industries have welcomed Richard Hooper’s report, Copyright Works, as it recommends the creation of a not-for-profit industry-led, industry-funded Copyright Hub and the establishment of a steering group to drive forward and oversee the design and implementation of the Hub.

The cost of paying compensation to staff who successfully took their employers to court on the grounds of discrimination reached a record high in 2011 of just under £9m, according to a report by the Equal Opportunities Review.
Employee Fraud On The Rise
According to CIFAS, the UK’s fraud prevention service, employee fraud has risen alarmingly in the first half of this year, with a 52 per cent overall increase compared with the same period in 2011.
