It has been reported that later today (June 17th) the Justice Secretary, Chris Grayling will announce his latest plans to tackle the issue of reoffending amongst young prisoners.
Cross-Examinations to be Pre-Recorded
Under new proposals which have recently been outlined, young and vulnerable victims and witnesses in criminal trials will be offered the opportunity to pre-record evidence; in a move which has been designed to protect them from the trauma of court and cross-examination.
Eavesdropping is Legal
The Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has suggested that eavesdropping by its GCHQ security agency is legal; and provides no threat to privacy of law-abiding UK citizens.
New Tribunal Rules Published
Earlier this week the Government published the Employment Tribunals (Constitution and Rules of Procedure) Regulations 2013, which include the new Employment Tribunals Rules of Procedure. These come into force on July 29 2013.
