In an historic vote in the House of Lords last night (July 15), same-sex marriage became a step closer, when peers approved the principle after months of wrangling between Conservatives, the Church and campaigners on both sides and much toing and froing between both the Lords and Commons.
School Leaving Age To Rise To 17
As pupils and teachers presumably look forward to the end of the summer term, parents, who might be less enthusiastic at the thought of their offspring being off school for the next six weeks or so, may be dismayed at the thought that the school leaving age will rise to 17 from September.

Reckless Bankers Could Be Jailed
